The Old Town School Music Store asked me to come in and play a few of their instruments. I got to pick which instrument I wanted to play, and play whatever tune I wanted. Here’s some slide on Tampa Red’s “Things About Coming My Way.”

I don’t play clawhammer style all that often, but it was nice to do it on a fine old-time banjo.

I was playing outside between students at the Old Town School, when Rebecca from the music store came by with her video camera and asked to shoot something. I played one of my own tunes, “The Quiet Side of Town.”

My set at the "Workin' Blue" show from May 17th, 2014. Also playing that night was Mark Dvorak and Paul Kaye.

Back in July of 2014 I was on Folkstage along with Robin & Jenny Bienemann, Bruce Roper, and Deb Lader. It was a lot of fun.

Performing at the 2011 Big Muddy Folk Festival with my good friends, Mark Dvorak and Ellen Shepard. The tune is the Delmore Brothers' "Blow Your Whistle Freight Train".

Playing some blues at 27 Live in Evanston.

Here's a solo set I played as part of a night of fingerstyle guitar at The Old Town School of Folk Music's Szold Hall. With me that night were Nathaniel Braddock and Ed Holstein.

Here's my buddy Eric Lambert and me at the Two Way Street coffeehouse playing an original song of mine, "I'll Reach Out to You.”

May 30, 2015 - In our first public performance together, Eric and I do one of my original songs, "Blacktop.” It was an incredible evening with a packed house and a fantastic season ender to Maple Street's 30th Anniversary Season!

Eric and me getting a chance to do some flatpicking at Two Way Street Coffee House's 45th Anniversary Event on Nov 7, 2015 in Downers Grove, IL. It was a lot of fun.

Weavermania: Michael Smith, Barbara Barrow, Mark Dvorak, Al Erich and I playing and singing Lead Belly’s “Midnight Special.” Michael and Barbara never held anything back. It was so great making music with all those folks.

Weavermania playing Woody Guthrie’s “Oklahoma Hills.”
