Plank Road Folk Music Society is proud to announce a bluegrass workshop lead by Chris Walz, noted bluegrass musician and teacher at Old Town School of Folk Music. The workshop will be on Saturday, June 28, from 1:00-5:00 pm in the parlor of the First Congregational Church, 1047 Curtiss Street, Downers Grove, Il.
The event will consist of a two hour workshop followed by a two hour jam session. Chris will instruct us on the proper techniques and methods to ensure a successful and enjoyable bluegrass jam for all levels of musicians. He will discuss protocols, etiquette, playing techniques, interacting with a group, leading a song, and following.
Admission is $10 for Plank Road members and $20 for non members.
